The nets are set for day 2 in an ancient mere, an arable field edge pond & a woodland edge pond just the right side of the Norfolk-Suffolk border. Fingers crossed for crucian carp & maybe wild carp (aka wildies) in the morning... #crucians24
The #Tibblestone marks the boundary of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. It now finds itself on the verge of a Texaco petrol station. Despite its short stature, it was recorded as being over 8ft high when rediscovered. Perfect #urbanprehistory for #StandingStoneSunday !

The resurrection of a #ghostpingo #pond . One of 10 in-filled ancient pingos that we have restored on Norfolk Wildlife Trust land close to Thompson Common. We have recorded 57 wetland plants over 2 years. That is a gain of 57 plant species!!! Boom. Helene Burningham Tim Holt-Wilson
