The nets are set for day 2 in an ancient mere, an arable field edge pond & a woodland edge pond just the right side of the Norfolk-Suffolk border. Fingers crossed for crucian carp & maybe wild carp (aka wildies) in the morning...

The marks the boundary of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. It now finds itself on the verge of a Texaco petrol station. Despite its short stature, it was recorded as being over 8ft high when rediscovered. Perfect for !

We have nets set in the hope of crucians in 3 likely North Norfolk ponds. What will we catch in the morning? Confident on eels. Maybe crucians...maybe both!!!

This is the land of the carp. This jungle-like Norfolk farm has big populations of Common Frog & Great Crested Newt (GCN). You would never know fish were present from looking or pond netting. Hence the often told myth that GCNs don't coexist well with fish

A typical lonely overgrown in arable. One of 100s in the area. Low biodiversity will probably characterise this landscape. But if we restore some of the ponds the fields will come alive for insects, birds, bats...

Well done Stop the Wensum Link ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿƒ Wensum Woodlanders ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿฆ‡๐ŸŒณ! A huge amount of pressure has helped with the correct decision on this awful project. A great bit of news that the environment gets a break here. All power to anti-roaders elsewhere still fighting. You are on the right side of history
