Goes to show the backwards way of thinking you can't have fish and 'wildlife' in the same pond is bollocks! It's about the size of pond, weed cover and what species of fish is present ideally the pond favourite a crucian.

This is the 9 spined stickleback the smallest freshwater fish in Britain. Unlike there 3 spined cousins the males turn jet black in the breeding season while females like this one are a olive green.
