One of my favourite “writes” of the year! Using The Lighthouse from The Literacy Shed. We do lots of pre-work then children respond by writing in any genre to match the events. Could be bio of the keeper, could be a narrative, could be a newspaper report, diary entry...etc... #t4w

I loved the bit in the Reading Framework about teachers reading to the class everyday in primary, no matter the year group. Sometimes, the simplest thing that makes the biggest difference gets lost in school life. This is just a little reminder that this MUST happen.
