A lot of folks acting as if 2020 has just been a string of bewildering bad luck, rather than what it truly is: a concentration of widely and reliably predicted and interconnected disasters that advanced nations of the world could have mitigated or prevented but chose not to.

How many of you went to festivals & concerts last year? How many of you think they’re just on pause, and will return as before? Imagine they never came back. Imagine your local venue shut & even if it was open, there’s hardly anyone left to perform in it. This is real.

Before the spin starts, it’s worth remembering that Brexit is happening against Scotland’s will. And there is no deal that will ever make up for what Brexit takes away from us. It’s time to chart our own future as an independent, European nation.

The Brexit deal will pass regardless of how The SNP votes. Scotland’s voice & interests are unimportant to the Westminster establishment. Far better then for our MPs to cast a principled vote against Brexit, as we get on with winning the positive case for independence.

What would the sounds of the Christmas season be like without an ugly stick for some added percussion? This fine example was made by my colleague Andrea O'Brien of Cape Broyle!
