a few years ago, it fell to me to tell some family members that someone very close to them had died. one of my best friends is a doctor, and he gave me some really good advice about how to do that conversation. which I pass on now, for anyone who needs to give bad news.

Next month, MPs get a £2,200 pay rise to £84,144 while the country gets a rise in national insurance, energy bills & council tax. We’re already in the top 5% of earners. When I was elected, I pledged to take home £35k and donate the rest to local causes. That won't be changing.

Really enjoyed joining this lovely group of people today to protest against Tower Hamlets Council's use of glyphosate (very harmful weed killer). We staged a die-in and delivered a letter to Lutfur Rahman and CEO, Will Tuckley to highlight the harm that the chemical causes.

Sorry to repeat myself, but you *really* need to know this. Under the government's Public Order Bill, anyone who has protested in the previous 5 years can be forced to "submit to ... being fitted with, or the installation of, any necessary apparatus" to monitor your movements.
