‘Twas the night before OKSPRA’s spring conference and I’ve got my #schoolPR swag packed and ready to go! It’s fitting that our general conference sponsors have these messages. We are BEYOND ready to “come together” and “celebrate our schools one story at a time.”

Don’t underestimate the impact that a few hours with “your people” can do for your spirit. The #okspra conference hasn’t even started and I’m already feeling like life is a little lighter. #k12prwell

Guess which one is from the north and which one is from the south? 😂 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑮𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒃𝒍𝒆 and I met on a run at NSPRA several years ago. Catching up with her and the entire #k12prfit and #k12prwell group on morning runs has become a highlight of NSPRA. So glad to have her at OKSPRA!

Hearing her story never gets old. 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑮𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒃𝒍𝒆’s accidental entrepreneurship has been the biggest blessing to school communicators across the country.

Susan has listened to my worries, my concerns and my questions for more than a decade. I’m selfishly happy that even in “retirement” she will be a trusted resource to me, my OKSPRA friends and so many other school communicators across the country. Happy retirement, Susan! 💕

There COULD NOT have been a better session to start #NSPRA2022. The presenters are BFFs from childhood. One is a school coms pro and the other is a palliative care chaplain — the perfect pair to pour into us. Ambiguous loss and emotional tunnels have pushed us all past “fine.”

Total class act by Jared Cotton, #NSPRA2022 Superintendent of the Year to ask one-person school communicators to stand and be recognized during today’s opening season. I’m a part of a great team and we’re all worn out. I can’t fathom how my friends flying solo are making it.

“Innovation happens at the fifth ‘why.’” Duncan Wardle - Innovation Keynote Speaker during today’s #NSPRA2022 session on innovation and creativity. Don’t get stuck behind “No, because.” Keep asking why.

The number one barrier to innovation is not having time to think. It’s no wonder that people rarely have their best ideas at work. Glad I shower twice a day!
