Wouldn't it be nice if govt provided $$ to small, local businesses to help provide better wages (maybe even benefits) to employees INSTEAD of giving $$ to BIG CORPORATIONS & rich CEOs who make BIG PROFITS because of the 'donations' to parties. Greed & corruption has taken over.

As I always say, while the services in this province (healthcare, education, etc) continues to go downhill, and the infrastructure (roads, schools, etc) continue to erode, the NL govt gives themselves raises & monies to the companies of billionaires.

I find it funny that it seems to always be people who were not born here that are telling me what words/phrases are offensive. I do get that some NL'ers are now sensitive to these things, and that is up to them, but for me, I do NOT mind Newfie or the Rock, so don't tell me!

Just when you think the City of St. John's could go no lower. The incompetence of the people in charge in this city is not only infuriating, but is now extremely scary. Thank God someone with a conscience spoke up before something unthinkable happened due to this incompetence.

You know how the govt always says 'we need to offer high compensation to attract good talent'. Well, if what we have running things in this province is an indication of the good talent, I don't want to see the bad. PLUS, the jig is up - it is to pay your friends HIGH salaries.
