The formation of Göreme dates back to 60 million years ago, when Mount Erciyes was an active volcano. The cooling lava and erosion formed the beautiful fairy chimneys of Göreme as if touched by the fairy hand, and created a unique town in Göreme lands. 📸 catchagypsea / IG
