Happy Halloween from the Campus Environmental Club. Here is a Jack-o-lantern made from a pumpkin grown in the Campus Garden. A pumpkin sale/fundraiser might be in the works for next year once we streamline the growing process. Maybe even a haunted walk at the school pond?

Today is the start of another Campus Colts basketball season. The CHS Environmental Club will have the blue recycling bins out in both gyms at the basketball games again this year. We take plastic bottles, cans, and paper programs. Go Colts! #ColtStrong

A good haul of bottles/cans from the first three home basketball games! Thank you to all who have been utilizing the recycle bins at the games! Please continue to use these bins that are conveniently located right next to the regular trashcans so we can recycle more plastics.

Happy Kansas Day! We celebrated the day with an activity at Freeman ES. We had eight stations to highlight our state symbols and native wildlife. Mr. Balsters' pet Tiger Salamander, Ornate Box Turtle, Speckled Kingsnake, and Texas Brown Tarantula were our animal ambassadors.

The Colt Strong Nature Trail is "trotting" along. Thank you to the USD 261 maintenance workers who helped install the 25 posts this morning. I received the demo print for the trailhead sign from Nu Line Signs as well. We hope to have all signs installed this summer. #ColtStrong
