This #TeachingTuesday we learn about the Red Eft, the "teenage" stage of the Red Spotted Newt. After the larval stage they grow lungs and exit the water until they return to the water as adults while keeping their lungs.

The wooly worm is a caterpillar native to Camp Greenville. Old tales say you can tell how cold the winter will be by how much black and brown coloration they have on them. This one says it’s going to be a cold winter! We shall see!

Winter sunsets are so beautiful! The reason they are more colorful is that the colder air has less humidity so the aerosols in the atmosphere are smaller allowing purer colors to be seen and also twilight lasts longer this time of year. #TeachingTuesday
