Last Friday, I had the privilege to speak to high school and college students about navigating higher education when low income, URM, first gen, & BIPOC. Tools of wisdom: be proactive, build a support network, don’t forget your roots, remember your why, you belong, and find joy.

I have enjoyed following doctor Shirlene Obuobi MD - updates only as she shares ways to be inclusive with getting a sexual history in the medical setting. It’s important to not make assumptions as physicians in order to create a safe space for our patients. (1/2)

Pre-med and medical school Camila would have dreamed of this. July 7th is a special day. In the morning, I will be in clinic as a resident physician. In the afternoon, I will be a keynote speaker for a college readiness conference 🥹 things are happening!!!

Driving cross country and during different state stops I’ve come to realize that I feel most safe in places where I see a lot of POC. If I hear Spanish being spoken, oof! I am comfortable.
