This morning at 11am colleagues from across the Service participated in a minute's silence in memory of on-call firefighter Mervyn Housden, who sadly passed away on Sunday. Mervyn will always be remembered, and will be sorely missed by everyone.

The Met Office have issued an amber alert this evening for heavy rain overnight (6pm-6am). This may cause some surface flooding on our roads and pavements. Please allow more time for travelling in the morning.
