Only in #ipc6 could we have a selfie with the super charismatic Minister of Natural Resources & Environment of Thailand, feat. Maddi Waskom Deep Time Ecology Dr Orla Bath Enright Gaëtan Potin Allison Daley and Marc Mapalo (some of us way in the background)

At #IPC6 this afternoon we will see a second talk by Dr Harrie Drage at 15:20, this time looking at the unusual moulting modes of isopods. Come join for this talk in room Fah Mui 1-2!

#IPC6 session 27 on early Palaeozoic lagerstattën is underway with excellent talks from Sarah Jacquet (she/her) Karma Nanglu and Jared Richards! This morning ANOM Lab taphonomy talks include Dr Orla Bath Enright at 10:50 (in Orchid2) and 11:30 (Fah Mui) and Farid Saleh فريد صالح at 11:30 (Orchid2). See you there!

We continue with #IPC6 session 27, including talks on many animal groups and various lagerstattën. Dr Harrie Drage will speak about a new Qingjiang radiodont at 16:10. Then I will speak about ANOM Lab research on Fezouata at 17:10, followed by Gaëtan Potin on radiodonts at 17:30.

Very much enjoyed the excellent interactive talk from Javier Ortega Hernández showing incredible 3D preservation of Cambrian fossils. Scan the QR code to play with 3D models! So cool!

So pleased so many people of “the other gender” attended #IPC6 in Thailand… Emily G Mitchell Allison Daley Maddi Waskom Dr Orla Bath Enright Dr Harrie Drage @GwenAntell Emily Green

I am truly honoured to have received the Hodson Award from The PalAss. Thank you to those who nominated me, and to the wonderful colleagues who have helped me learn and grow over the years. Heartfelt thanks also to Anomalocaris and Hurdia - your weirdness inspires me daily♥️!

Earlier this week Gaëtan Potin and I published a review about Anomalocaris and other radiodonts. Over 130 years of research on these bizarre creatures has revealed their importance for Paleozoic ecology and arthropod evolution. It’s been a wild ride! Enjoy! bit.ly/3NO6ykW

🚨🚨 Paper alert! I am happy to share my new paper with Pierre Gueriau and Allison Daley 🥳. The paper talks about the suspension-feeding radiodonts from the Fezouata Shale 🇲🇦. Spoiler: Aegirocassis was not alone. Check out the link if you want more details bit.ly/47B1W9k
