11.) Queen of Blood (1966). Tonight’s theme was dedicated to John Saxon. Chose by cover art alone and was not disappointed. Not only did I get Saxon but a young Dennis Hopper! The colors are psychedelic and the effects solid. #octobermoviescreeningchallenge #31spookynights

Finally catching up on my Haneke and I’ve rarely felt more inspired and melancholy at the same time. He reminds of a video-age Bresson. 1.) The Seventh Continent 2.) Benny’s Video 3.) 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance 4.) The Castle #moviesijustwatched

Thrilled to sneak my stickers into the online store for the AMIA conference and a HUGE thanks to Brianna Toth for making it possible. They’re on sale there and proceeds still go towards the Al Larvick Conservation Fund! So go ahead, treat yo self.

Looking forward to rewatching THE BLACK CAT (1934) on Criterion Channel for all its SUPERNATURAL BALONEY. This has to be one of the greatest lines in ALL of cinema and Lugosi’s languid delivery relishes every ridiculous syllable.
