Since the first lockdown my neighbours and I have taken it in turns to bake for each other every week and it’s really brought us all together (and improved my baking skills!), it’ll nearly be a year of it and I can’t believe it! It’s been so rewarding and cheered us all up ☺️🍪🧁

Excited to be adapting to a new role while I am unable to be patient facing, although it is very frustrating to be at home again, I am happy to help in any way possible!

I started work as an OT at my new trust 3 weeks before lockdown in March 2020, I then was redeployed, then back to my usual (new) role and now am in a new role again (while working from home). Working remotely has made me truly appreciate (and miss) how invaluable colleagues are for those small chats and debriefs, I can’t wait to have that support again!

I really rate how many companies/brands have sent emails asking if I wish to opt out of Mother’s Day emails - yes, thank you! A few have been Tesco Neom Organics London thortful . Really appreciate companies thinking about those who don’t have their mothers to celebrate with 💗

This week I was nominated for a ‘greatix’ at work and it felt amazing to be thanked, valued and have my work acknowledged from the new role I had while working remotely during the second wave. Finding working on ITU as an OT and having our follow up service very rewarding, despite the challenges! So grateful to be a part of such a new and developing service ☺️

The week has ended with a very thought provoking case and learning experience... difficult to switch off from but only strengthened my passion and love for neuro even more and advocating for patients who are unable to do so for themselves
