Very sad news. I have fond memories of working with Hasan on school eye health programmes and capacity building while at Imperial College London. He was always so generous with his time, so passionate about his work, and was utterly open and honest. He will be missed.

This is my secondary school, where I was a 'free school meal kid'. Their current policy on school meal debt is frankly shocking & a huge PR failure from the 'interim headteacher'. Ultimately we need a fair school meals policy in the UK: children with empty stomachs can't learn.
