The Holy Goat Brewing takeover is LIVE. Beers tasting phenomenal. Background heckling: also top tier. Let's go! π π€

This is how we Holy Goat Brewing it, Bitterne Park style - cheers, Johnny! And thank you to everybody that joined us, be it for the tasting or the Takeover at large. π€ Readying the pub for day 2 now - and if you missed out, we're happy to announce everything clung on. π

I've just had a very chilled Bank Holiday Monday in the The Butcher's Hook. I had some great beer, caught up with a few people I haven't seen for a while, and all looked after by Matt running the bar. Really very pleasant.

Fresh delivery just in β and it's a big one! π A rare Stigbergets drop (including an Omnipollo collab πΈπͺ), new Rivington, summer-ready Pastore, plus unhinged smoothie sours from Δrpus & friends. π§ The smoothie cans are already chilling in the rear fridge's secret stash. π

The rain's done its bit β we'll take it from beer. π» And with nothing less than this cask-exclusive release from Kernel Brewery! Krush is the ideal antidote to the humidity: bright, clean, soft & balanced, with tropical aromas & delicate bitterness. Far too ruddy drinkable!

Remember the Spaceshakes from makemake.beer? They're back β in vanilla form! π₯€ After chocolate & strawberry, there was only one logical next step. It's a daft, delicious mess, and it won't hang around for long. Word is there's another Shake on the horizon tooβ¦ Should we? π

Sol Invictus from Holy Goat Brewing - an ultra-refreshing riff on a Radler, dosed with the juice & zest of oranges π and lemons π. Juicy, tart, and endlessly drinkable. Your ultimate summer thirst quencher. π Built for the heat (even when you're not). π»

Who'll claim the first fresh pint of cask Bissoe from Verdant Brewing Co π»? π₯ An endlessly moreish 5.3% IPA built on UK-grown Harlequin & Cascade hops. Bright, breezy, and just bitter enough to keep calling you back. No gimmicks. No haze (π±). Just a perfectly tuned pint.

Cherry-heads, assemble! This one's a showstopper from Pastore Brewing and Blending. π Of Fenland & Lolland is drenched in StevnsbΓ¦r cherries from Denmark's Frederiksdal estate - some of the richest, darkest fruit imaginable. A deep, full-on cherry bomb of the highest order. π£π€€

Business Secrets Of The Pharaohs - Mark Corrigan's vanity-press masterpiece, now a Sureshot Brewing NEIPA. π Better than a foot of wine. Or a metre of vodka (with an inch of tonic). Just don't combine metric and imperial measures - you don't want an interdenominational hangover.
