The goal of business analysis is to find a solution within the constraints of time and budget; not just to produce bunch of documents.

Just in time and just enough analysis makes you a good BA in a scrum team.

While Process Mapping focus on people, not documents. People have a tendency to do what they want rather than what they should be doing.

Sometimes you have to play the "pass the hot potato" game. Pass on the deliverable quickly and improve it in iterations.

Hard work gives power, being lazy makes you slave. BAs hard work gives you right ques to ask and analyze, being lazy makes you a order taker

Business Analysis takes place in an environment that isn't broader than the business itself. Understand the business to be an effective BA.

We get used to a set speed for various assignments, say X. Challenge yourself with different speeds: X/2 & 2X. It will make you a better BA.

Successful BAs solve problems, project after project. For them reward is the gratification for solving problems.
