When I was first exploring an autism diagnosis, I assumed I didn’t stim because I didn’t recognise myself in any of the examples I saw (turns out I masked a lot of them but that’s for another comic!) I began to become aware of the things I did when happy / overwhelmed (2/3)

Turns out I do stim. A lot. But a lot of mine are culturally relevant and so they didn’t stick out as much to me or those around me (except when my Mum was telling me to stop twerking for Jesus!) Diagnostic manuals need to do a better job of expanding the examples they give (3/3)
