I've been debating posting here again for awhile now. It's the only place I exist online with an established base of cool animals that I can share some really cool things with. For instance, in my free time I've been creating a miniature Earth in my rockets payload bay!

I've been getting into steam locomotives recently. I think I can use the technology to build a spacecraft. I'll call the aesthetic "Steam train, but in Space"

I wonder how I can keep the crown sheet submerged while in zero-G. Don't want steam explosions just yet. Maybe we can spin the boiler really fast...

BunkerTheHusky (@bunkerthehusky) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The fire to heat the boiler is a trivial thing. Just point your rocket engine down the flues. What I'm concerned about is the venturi effect it could cause. Doing so might suck in the engineer or fireman from the cab. Gonna have to replace the windows with a fine mesh

This is totally going to work, OMG. We just need to get the material science critters to find us a good machine oil that can live in a vacuum. Gotta keep those connecting rods lubed up. Auto oilers won't word due to the aforementioned zero-g, but nothing a space walk can't fix

Okay, about the propulsion "issue". Guys... It's fine. All we gotta do is replace the train wheels with paddles, no different than the river boats of yore. Paddles work in the vacuum of space. Don't Google it

You're wondering why we can't just use the steam as a propellant. y'all are missing the point. It's a closed loop system, not unlike a nuclear reactor. In space, you gotta re-use your water. Drink your own pee, to put it another way

Seriously though, a hypergolic fueled steam locomotive sounds menacing AF. Can't think of a single reason not to make many of them.

Furries, I do have good news. There is a planet whose atmosphere is made of a novel gas that will instantly transform you into your fursona permanently. However, the planet is even more radioactive than Jupiter. Like, waaay more. So, sorry... Transformation is still out of reach

Having your Likes private is a good thing, actually. You seriously don't want the grey aliens seeing what cringe interests you have.

Does anybody see an issue with me making an Indigo Park reference on my train layout? I'm not profiting in any way other than making a 1 of 1 unique display piece for myself

BunkerTheHusky (@bunkerthehusky) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I think I'm putting way too much work into making custom signs for my train layout. Here's the Indigo Park reference I'm putting in that will eventually be printed tiny like this other sign I made!

OMG, Robotica still gives me nightmares to this day. The liminal ambiance is terrifying to me. I would definitely give it a playthrough again!
