Charly Hamilton, one of WV’s most iconic artists, has passed away at age 73. Irreplaceable loss. My heart goes out to all those who knew him.

The new issue of Goldenseal is dedicated to the 1972 Buffalo Creek Disaster, in which 125 were killed and 80% of the residents of a hollow in Logan County, WV, were left homeless. It was caused by improperly built coal-waste impoundments owned by Pittston Coal.
