“it’s toasted!” this was the same marketing slogan Don Draper came up with for Lucky Strike cigarettes in the show Man Men. should i be worried about my coconut chips now? 😂

another reminder that while Apple’s Image Playground offers fun styles like animation & illustration, it misses the mark on photorealism… :cough: not even an option

anyone know the deal with posts on instagram like this? content has nothing to do with the description. feels like an ad but wouldn’t expect a company like Tesla to be behind this Elon Musk

seems like everything goes full cycle. ubers with taxis, netflix with ads, and now unsplash with premium images. almost every time i find a good photo it’s locked to premium users that pay a subscription. any other good alternatives out there?

my main beef with magic links is if you have an app like gmail, it’ll direct to to it’s in-app browser. you have to copy the link (without hard pressing to preview the page) and copy it to the browser you want. most folks won’t figure it out or go through that level of effort

is there really no easy way to remove backgrounds in adobe premiere? only options are color key, ultra key, etc? i know there are a lot of one-click magic editors so this is pretty shocking. someone please tell me i’m wrong and just can’t find find it

these past few months photopea has been so slow. even with no chrome extensions turned on. anyone out there have some tips? i got an m2 macbook, should be plenty fine

ended up going with Affinity Photo 2. they can a 6 month trial which is way more than i need but so far very promising. and so much faster when it’s native! now i need to unlearn over a decade of adobe photoshop patterns 😅. at least its not completely foreign like other apps.

these days Apple is even lazier than i thought. they finally upgraded to usb-c but still didn’t update the arrow keys to match. perhaps it seems minor but makes a huge difference UX-wise
