After #SamudraManthan, the Devas managed to seize the Kumbha of nectar. During the chase by Asuras, few drops of nectar fell at 4 places - Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nasik & Ujjain. The #KumbhMela is celebrated in one of these four places in rotation.
