ASIC prices are dropping hard - down 50% since Jan. But not nearly enough. At 6c/kWh, s19j pro 100TH simple payback is 4 years at $5000 per rig. Way too long! Simple payback should be 18 months or less to say rig pricing is back in balance. That’s ~$1800 for an s19j pro 100th.

One more nuance here. If you are a miner with 3 cent power instead of the 6 cents I used in that example. Your 18 month payback price for that rig is $3000. So that also shows why players with more compatible power can be more aggressive with capitalizing on opportunities.
