Welsh Groundsel - an endemic species that arose from the hybrid between Groundsel and Oxford Ragwort. This remarkable plant was discovered at Leith Docks in 1974, but hasn’t been seen in Scotland since 1993. I was lucky enough to catch up with it in the Welsh Borders this autumn.

Love is fleeting and painful, but wildflowers are (or should be) eternal and joyous. Ditch the cut flowers and donate to, or join, the BSBI instead.
