Eva in Year 6 took home the trophy in the Primary Category for her excellent piano performance of Elgar's 'Salut d'Amour'. Eva recently completed her Grade 3 piano exam. As well as playing piano, Eva plays violin and enjoys singing and writing music.

Year 8 student Samson was chosen as the overall winner in the Years 7 - 9 Category. Samson joined BSB this year and learns violin at school with Tina. He also plays in the school Orchestra and String Ensemble. His festival piece was 'Praeludium and Allegro' by Fritz Kreisler.

Taking home the Senior Category trophy was Laura in Year 10. Laura is a dedicated musician and her hard work certainly paid off! She left the audience stunned with her performance of Chopin's popular 'Fantaisie Impromptu'.

Friday night's concert was such an uplifting event for all of us here in the Music Department! Our student musicians performed live and excellently to over 400 audience members. Well done to all the wonderful musicians who made the concert so special!

On Wednesday evening our Instrumental Teachers held their annual charity concert, with the proceeds going to Music Fund and to the Syria-Turkey earthquake recovery fund. The concert was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you to our teachers for an excellent evening's entertainment!

Students from all over BSB came together last week for our annual Musical Festival. Our amazing students had great fun and played pieces from a variety of genres. The festival culminated in a wonderful evening concert that was enjoyed by all! Congratulations to everyone! #music
