It's painfully obvious, I know—but it should *never* come down to recess versus academics. This piece is part of a research-based animation series I've been editing for edutopia. More coming soon! #playmatters

Yes, Social distancing is hard. You know what's harder? Getting ill, severely ill in some cases, watching people you love dying. We all need to do our part. No exceptions. No playdates, No playgrounds, No hanging out with friends, no dinner parties, no coffee with friends. Please!

Health and Physical Education is not gym. The gymnasium is one of the many locations where H&PE can happen and sports are one of the many activities that can be included in H&PE. We need to remember that learning in H&PE can look & work differently depending on the student.

As millions of parents languish without answers on school reopening, the minister of education has been super busy. This week alone he: ✅ Posed in field with sign ✅ Posed with box of muffins ✅ Posed with cup of coffee ✅ Posed with boxes of Panettone

Why are we sending teens back to high school for a week? They have not been ALLOWED BOOSTERS yet. They have what- 30% protection against covid right now? They will be with unmasked unvaxxed peers for lunch. Why not let them finish the semester online? #onted #schools #Boosters

If Ontario has decided that the only effort they'll make vs. COVID in schools is vaccination, where are 3rd doses for 12-18s? BA.2 wants to know.

We are going into our 5th new model for the school day since Mar 2020 - and none of the 5 are what we did before - so 5th new model for us and 5th new model for our students. It's exhausting. #onted

Thank you to all those real truckers I see when I’m on the 401 every Sat/Sun morning at 7:30am. Not sleeping in, not with their families. Keeping shelves stocked for us. Kudos to you!

This is why sports are special. A basketball manager at Lake Hamilton School District who is special needs played on senior night. And both teams made it incredibly special. Amazing.
