AI is here to help your people, whether you like it or not. It's easy to criticize GenAI for not being perfect, but dismissing it entirely is missing the bigger picture. AI is increasingly being used to bring empathy into business. Take some recent examples: Experiments have

Really important point here about "well you could just complete tasks with people rather than AI" - sure, when it makes sense But sometimes the *coordination cost* of people makes it *not make sense* anymore. And that means more things can get done faster.

"rethinking workflows feels impossible when you're buried in the current ones. Biggest blocker. Give people time to think" 💯 Seriously, managers pick a day - MondAI, WednesdAI, FridAI - whatever...but AI is all that day is for

If universities want to prepare students to succeed the new world of work, the answer to this is to *require* use of ChatGPT + submittal of the entire interaction along with the final product - in order to be graded (and guided) on both.

Bryan Kirschner (@bryan_kirschner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If I were back in school I would very much want my professors to use ChatGPT as a thought partner grading my work & insist that they share the entire interaction they had with it...so I could use those same questions & techniques in revising & improving my next assignment!

As a musician these takes boggle my mind I don't make my music for money, as it's a bit niche - but it's a niche that brings joy to me and a small network of fans collected through friends, family, work, chance, the web etc More people getting to experience creative joy is good!

Send this to the people in your life who are still saying Harrell is unbeatable and tell them to send their Democracy Vouchers our way. #Winning

The hell of this world is that science has spoken: if an indoor space complies with the ASHRAE 241 Standard for indoor air quality cool. If it doesn't, I'm wearing a mask. As a large rich white dude I can do this & f-u if you don't like it, but we screw these poor kids over :(

Bryan Kirschner (@bryan_kirschner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Yes we can & here's the big tell. Harrell says "Anarchists infiltrated the counter-protestors group" - and what would follow in a competent public safety regime is "because plainclothes officers were in close working contact with organizers, they were quickly and quietly removed"

💯 "Human hubris" is actually a much bigger issue with GenAI than ""LLMs hallucinate" IMO Approximately all of use can benefit at least a little bit almost all the time from a second set of (even imperfect) eyes on a problem!

So much STaFfInG ShoRTagE that armed officers with the power of arrest are standing around babysitting the scene rather than civilian CSOs (San Jose) or PSOs (Bellevue) among many other departments - SPD business as usual wasting officer time and taxpayer money hand over fist

During the 90s companies transitioned from "computers are part of a 3 year capital refresh" to "a computer is amortized into the annual cost of each FTE" - the same should be true for clean air tech like Far-UVC (And Nukit's lanterns cost well less than PCs btw)

Bryan Kirschner (@bryan_kirschner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

.Nukit is 100% right here I was on the threads I even MacGyvered up some ways to deploy it myself Super appealing idea - but nope, the math don't work Take it from a mathy tech White guy if you won't believe the Asian woman who in point of fact knows a great deal more

I remember lying awake as a kid listening to my parents talking in hushed voices about maybe not making the rent but if mom is still OK to travel next spring we're taking the most expensive AirBnB in Kennebunkport God rest your soul dad & mom you can't read this but you did good
