Did you know more than 2000 scientists are involved in the Euclid Consortium? 80 of them visited the spacecraft in the cleanroom in Cannes, France. Some of the scientists have been working on Euclid for more than 15 years! We thank Thales Alenia Space for their hospitality!
See some superb images of ESA's Euclid mission at Thales Alenia Space in Cannes in February by Jean-Charles Cuillandre (CEA, France) on : 👉cfht.hawaii.edu/~jcc/EuclidTha… High resolution images can be downloaded.
See the last operations at Thales Alenia Space in Cannes to put ESA's Euclid mission in a container that will be shipped on boat to Cape Canaveral (Florida, USA).
While ESA's Juice mission is waiting at Centre spatial guyanais for good sky to fly today to space, ESA's Euclid mission after road transport from Cannes (France) to Savona (Italy) is now ready to sail to Cape Canaveral in a dedicated container on the #MNColibri ship.
A last glimpse of ESA's Euclid mission before closing the rocket fairing !
This week I gave a presentation about flying and offsetting in academia for the Climate Action Research Institute Swansea University. Here's a short 🧵 of the main points...

✅ Update 20 March: first results just announced confirm successful operations, ESA's Euclid mission's sharp vision is restored. The initial analysis of #Euclid’s data validates the de-icing approach devised by the team.
First Euclid Consortium meeting after the launch of #ESAEuclid in Rome, Italy, attended by more than 600 scientists from many different institutions. A week full of science, discussions and preparatory work to exploit the first Euclid data. Next year: Leiden, the Netherlands.
Let’s celebrate ESA's Euclid mission’s first birthday 🎉 Come on a journey with us to discover the secrets of the #DarkUniverse 🧵
This past weekend during ESA's public days at the International Paris Air Show 2025, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about our #DarkUniverse 🕵️ detective. Bruno Altieri, Archive Scientist at ESA, presented how #ESAEuclid is investigating the expansion of the Universe
