I was honored to spend time with Tribal leaders from across Virginia today. Though federal recognition for most of these Tribes is recent, they have diligently stewarded their ancestral homelands and maintained their cultures and languages for millennia.

Nearly 1,700 newly digitized records have just been added to LVA’s African American records database, #VaUntold! This material includes records from the Richmond City Hustings Court, which we processed and indexed thanks to an NHPRC grant. Learn more at bit.ly/3vM2zi1

This rare handwritten manuscript of The Courtier's Library by priest and poet John Donne was found in our archives in 2017. The satire was circulated privately by Donne to friends in the early 1600s, its content too radical to publish. Find out more ⤵️ #Archive30
