We call on the UK Government to cease negotiations to hand over the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) to Mauritius. Mauritius is not the guarantor they purport to be. This year, Chagossians fled Mauritius to the UK for refuge, citing fear from an untrustworthy government.
