Reminder that depending on the insurance plan, CVS often requires or steers its PBM clients to utilize their retail pharmacies. Patients often lack the consumer freedom to go elsewhere. FTC

Nationwide shortage of tamiflu, amoxicillin and other items…I should not have to have providers fill out prior authorizations for non-formulary items when the formulary item is on NATIONWIDE BACKORDER

This is a reality for pharmacy. You can do a million in sales and have an awful return on it. It is a nightmare on cash flow for any business. The ROI on brand name is worthless #TwitteRx

CVS STRATEGY 1. Intentionally understaff stores 2. Working conditions decline, leading to pharmacists quitting and put patients in danger 3. Cry to lawmakers to allow remote pharmacists to fix the problem you created 4. No longer have to pay pharmacists #TwitteRx

Total drug cost =$50 Go to PBM owned pharmacy, copay $10, insurance pays $40. Go to independent, copay is $35, insurance pays $15. Meds don’t cost more at independents, PBMs just make customer pay more there giving the illusion. #fraud @linakhanFTC Ron Wyden Chuck Grassley

Huge shocker here. Many insulin manufacturers decreased their WAC for popular products beginning in 2024. Naturally PBMs are now “preferring” insulin items that did not receive a WAC decrease. Almost takes a rocket scientist to figure out what going on here… #stoppbmabuse
