“Hmm~? Wait you think our little Mav has a crush or something~?” Rue chuckled as she continued to rub at Tristan’s ear for a moment, initially teasing about the idea but it could be a possibility ( in this reality )

“Oh how cute~! You seem worried about that though. Why?” Rue continued to rub Tristan’s ear but had leaned in a little closer, pouting at them in a little confusion. Why would Mav having a crush be something to worry about?

“Oh phooey~! Like you said, they’re young~ it’ll just be one of those childhood crushes that either goes somewhere or nowhere~ either way I can’t see them getting hurt from this~” She gave a reassuring smile as she finally left his ear alone.

After making sure Eirian was snug and safe in their crib Rue would follow Tristan to their bathroom, humming as they were almost excited about helping Tristan with their injections.

Rue could see and feel the anxiety and nerves so she took the lead, using her keen senses to find the items she needed whilst ordering Tristan to sit down. “You getting it injected into your leg or your stomach?”

To ease with the feeling Rue gently massaged her fingers against the spot that the needle had just left, using one hand to skilfully dismantle the needle from the syringe. She then stepped away to dispose of the two separately and put everything else away. “See~ not so bad~”

Rue would chuckle softly as she cleaned up after herself before turning to Tristan and ruffling their hair. “It’s never easy but it’s necessary~ poor Mihr has had to deal with needles since they were created~”

“Nah~ they were created to be both~ they just have a slight issue with the dna that keeps them existing.” She gave a little shrug as a frown appeared. “If they miss even one dose their dna begins to break down..”

“Yeah.. really sucks..” She sighed as she leaned against the sink for a moment and lowered her head, seemingly in her thoughts for a moment before turning back to Tristan with a smile. “I just gotta make sure they always get their injections on time~”

It was clear in the briefest glance of expression that Rue stressed and worried about Mihr’s situation a lot but she was hiding it well especially with Eirian being born. “You didn’t but that’s alright~ just doing my sisterly duties~”
