One of the first things Pope Leo XIV said today was that we need to "build bridges using dialogue" to find connection and reduce barriers between us all. We salute that goal! Join us to help work toward it. bridgeusa.org

This is something that needs to be said more often. Personal attacks should have no place in our politics. Our discourse should rise above them to tackle the things that really matter. 👏Thanks for the positivity, Senator Dave McCormick!

The work our students do on their campuses shows that young people can make a difference and get involved in a new kind of politics. And university leaders are noticing it. Our chapter at UW–Madison got a shoutout from their chancellor at this year's Commencement Ceremony:

We don’t have to agree on everything. Let's just commit to disagreeing better. That's how democracy is supposed to work.

In just the last two weeks, we've brought out nearly 1,500 students to discuss important topics the Bridge way! The spring semester may be winding down, but our chapters are still moving at full speed through the finish line. 🏁

Our chapters know how to make space for dialogue on their campuses. They also know how to make it fun! Here's a look at some of the social events our chapters have put on this semester:

When we show compassion only to those we agree with, we're engaging in something called selective empathy. Let's see the humanity in all our leaders and fellow citizens. Our thoughts are with the former president and his family.

Sometimes our chapters have a difficult time launching on a particular campus because of a lack of institutional support. But that doesn't stop us. We've developed a guide for our "guerilla chapters" to persist. Read our newest blog post here: bridgeusa.org/chapter-succes…

Working with people you disagree with doesn’t mean you are sacrificing your beliefs. It means you believe in them enough to test them.

The meeting between President Donald J. Trump Trump and South African President Ramaphosa will be discussed intensely in the news. At times, it was quite tense. The two presidents disagree fiercely on current events in South Africa. But they still showed up to speak with each other. The only way

It's easy to think that everything is terrible and nothing can change when you only listen to misrepresentations of the other side. But get outside your bubble and actually engage and you'll likely find that most people are normal and want more dialogue!

There are two roads we can go down. One leads to a more respectful and productive nation. The other leads us to more of the same division and bitterness. It's up to us. Which road should we take? 🤔

We've been saying this for a long time. Americans are closer to each other on policy than they think. Check out this article from the @WashingtonPost to see what we mean! washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/…

Details about this incident are still to come. However, if we learn that this was indeed a targeted act, we must condemn it totally. We must condemn it together. We cannot allow disagreements, whether over politics or religion or anything else, to lead to violence.

At Harvard University's commencement ceremony, class of 2025 graduate Jiang Yurong made a plea to her fellow students to stop seeing people who think or vote differently as evil. "It doesn't have to be this way," she said. She's right. We can do better by giving dialogue a chance.

With the funding bill at the top of the headlines recently, we want to know: Is this a bipartisan solution? Democrats, Republicans, and everyone in between, tell us your thoughts on Buffets' solution. If you disagree, what's your proposal?
