Comment: unless civil society doesn’t push, our hellish and killer July is going to be swept under a kumbaya carpet by Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦 Why? Because the ANC in government will not properly investigate itself. It will be disappear into that oxymoron called “ANC renewal”. Eish!

337 lives lost in the unrest that followed Jacob Zuma’s imprisonment. That’s almost ten times the number of miners killed in the Marikana massacre. And twice the fatalities linked to the Life Esidimeni scandal. As yet, nobody has been properly held responsible for any of it.

Gauteng: With a #COVID19 case incidence now below 5 new cases per 100k per day, and test positivity below 10%, I think we can declare the #3rdWave IN GAUTENG to have passed 😫 Hospitalisations and deaths steadily declining 📉 I hope to never have to share this graph ever again!

The 7-day rolling avg #COVID19 test positivity in South Africa🇿🇦 currently at 3.7% is lowest it's been since breaching this point in May 2020 before 1st wave 📉 I may be getting carried away but after all the bad news why not share good news while we can.. ☺️ #Rid1TweetsOnCovid

Thanks Eusebius McKaiser for the heads up. This piece of @Sisonkemsimang reflecting on Friedman’s new work should be the centre of our attention? (Not John Deer falling off a Cliff?) foreignaffairs.com/reviews/review…

Calling all knitters. Barons Court Project is looking for handmade scarves. We will distribute to guests who are homeless or in need. And 500 brightly coloured ones for an event in March where 500 people will walk through the night to raise awareness and funds. Do help if you can. T.Y

To be clear: that's R18 billion rand they are withholding from the local economy. It not just what the could "do" with it. Its how it would circulate and create opportunities once spent. The idea of public sector surpluses being a good idea is a nonsense.

@ZacMoselane The burden is left on the single Mom, Parents and the working Uncle to look after a Player's child. The Player often comes with lame excuses. Like they upset him last time in that family 😑 Years later the Player will want to be on graduation Pics of a kid they never cared abt

South Africans have the terrible resilience that comes from surviving repeated, unpredictable abuses. This country has post - and present - traumatic stress disorder.
