Department of Education and Youth Norma Foley T.D Josepha Madigan ⚖️✨ x.com/CatrionaGolden… Can your dept explain why there is a 50% cut in the Summer provision grant per pupil in 2yrs!? Really looks like you're in the side of children with additional needs alright!

Excellent outline of issues for Congress here. Why don't other outlets focus on these issues in their articles? irishexaminer.com/opinion/commen…

'I'm helped by age limitations for films, driving, drinking and other things... I've never understood why there isn't an age limit on the phone.' This father tells @AnushkaAsthana he's 'disappointed' by the lack of support for parents when it comes to children and smartphones.

RhodriMears🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 We are fundraising relentlessly to keep our schools open & operational. Fundraising should be for extras, not essentials like utilities & ancillary staff wages. When will anybody representing educators & management stand up & call this out? It is beyond ridiculous at this stage

What the Ministers conveniently neglect to mention is the grant has been cut by €16 per child to €80. You’d hope the media pick up on this & do their jobs. Education is already grossly underfunded. We’ve plenty of money to splash about in this country. This cut is a disgrace.

Huge thanks to the Principals across the country who represented so well today in Leinster House on behalf of our schools and pupils. We hope that our elected officials will now act on this information & prioritise Education going forward. #FundingCrisis #LackOfSENSupports

7 out of 10 primary schools ran at a deficit in the last year. Almost 3 in 4 can't pay for cleaners or caretakers. Over 50% have had to fundraise for basic utilities. The list goes on. Many principals are at breaking point. They need immediate support to address these issues.

This year primary school funding was ‘restored’ to the same level it was 15 years ago. Imagine trying to manage on what you were paid 15 years ago- to pay energy bills, insurance, cleaning, etc. It’s a wonder only 70% ran a deficit.

My reading of this is that OT & SLT will support the teacher to support the child. The teacher is well capable of teaching. What the child needs is the DIRECT support of an OT or SLT.

Huge thanks to Mairéad Cleary, Daire and the team Virgin Media ❤️ for such a succinct, honest and comprehensive documentary on a very complicated and well hidden crisis. Our children deserve so much better from our government play.virginmediatelevision.ie/watch/replay/1…

A brilliant morning of football and fun in Fraher Field in bright sunshine. Thank you to all clubs that took part, their coaches for giving up their time and to all supporters who cheered on their teams. We will have another hurling blitz in two weeks time! ⚪🔵⚪🔵⚪🔵
