#BREAKING: Louisville airport officials confirm now that four people have been killed in the horrific plane crash three miles south of the airport. 11 people have been injured - several are in the burn center as we speak. Prayers for Louisville tonight.

#BREAKING: Kentucky’s governor now says the death toll has risen to “at least seven” from this evening’s plane crash.

From Louisville Mayor Greenberg: Of the seven people killed, three were confirmed on the plane; four were elsewhere.

At this time, Runway 11/29 is open at SDF and the airport is available for aircraft operations. TSA screening remains on-going this morning for departing passengers. Anyone scheduled to depart or arrive at SDF today is encouraged to closely monitor their flight status as delays

An interesting observation as UPS began operations again at Worldport in Louisville following Tuesday’s crash. Usually, flights are strategically planned for efficiency, not burning fuel. At one point today, more than half a dozen planes, engines running, waited for takeoff.
