Transformational Questions 1. What are the needs of learners in a post-pandemic world? 2. How can we design a master schedule to meet those needs? 3. What are the non-academic programs or skills students will need in order to succeed in life? #edchat

No grade can ever communicate fully a student’s profile. As the year closes, how will you communicate to each student their individual strengths and what you are grateful for in each of them? #LeadInclusion

Before wondering if your curriculum is antiracist, ask yourself if YOU are. Even the greatest lesson will fall flat if the person teaching it hasn’t done the internal work first. Antiracism isn’t just a lesson, it’s a lifestyle.

To fight Zoom fatigue, give people the freedom to turn their cameras off. New experiment: videos off reduces exhaustion and boosts engagement—especially for women and newcomers. Cameras off doesn't reflect disengagement. It helps to prevent burnout and promote attention.

Instead of say, "Oh no! I have Chinese students who struggle with English", now I think, "How can I incorporate Chinese into this lesson to make it more comprehensible?" It's all about a mindset shift that sees assets, not deficits.

I quit. I quit because I’m asked to do too much with too little. I quit because negative treatment I received caused my heart to race. I quit because I haven’t been given time to do my job. I am finishing out this year. Convince me that teaching is still worth it.
