This is the Gifford Fire that’s already burned over 72,000 acres. It’s burning thru northern Santa Barbara County and is only 3% contained. The far western edge of this fire is about 16 miles from Santa Maria. Hwy 166 remains shut down as well. KNX News 97.1 FM
