As temps begin to rise, so does the first flush of summer annual weeds from the soil. Giant Ragweed is one of the most troublesome weeds and is beginning to emerge around central IL. Our team has the solutions to battle these yield robbing weeds.

As planters will be rolling again my mid- week, keep in mind that WATERHEMP is beginning to emerge in Central IL. Some applications of PRE herbicides may require additional chemistries in order to start clean and stay clean.

Found tar spot near Pawnee, IL on corn in the R5 growth stage. Yield loss could still occur because kernel dry weights are only 65% at R 5.25. Later planted corn will be more susceptible to yield loss if disease progression continues to increase. BRANDT
