for the fist time, i noticed someone on the street taking photos of me (presumably) bc i was sporting an intensely all-blue look. felt cool, then incredibly self conscious of being dragged by her and her friends in their group chat. but then just decided to feel cool again 🤷‍♂️😎

sports and music are very similar to me. both offer catharsis and a state of flow to the athlete/artist at an individual level; maybe more importantly, both create ‘collective effervescence’—a temporary loss of self-awarness and ego and feelings of community and joy. i love both.

I’ll be releasing my first single of 2023 next month. “Rest” is one of my favorite songs I’ve done so far. Wrote this during the pandemic with my buddy Brett Castro who also produced this beauty. 🤟🏾 Stay tuned. 🥹
