Palestine Action is set to be proscribed as a terror group & is calling on activists to besiege parliament tomorrow. They pose a real threat to MPs, peers & staff. The Metropolitan Police have left MPs vulnerable recently, they must rethink their approach. telegraph.co.uk/gift/b2008581fโ€ฆ

This is encouraging from the head of Metropolitan Police but will they continue to arrange crowds so MPs and peers have to run a screaming gauntlet of hate and abuse to do their job? Thatโ€™s not legitimate protest, it undermines democracy and put MPs at risk.

Weโ€™ve reached a point where the Met is pleading with this government to do their jobโ€” so officers can do theirs. This was all entirely avoidable.

โฌ‡๏ธ Good news: the Met has recognised the risk to MPs and public safety and taken the unusual step of banning Palestine Action protestors from the area around parliament today. The protest must also finish by 3pm.

As far as I am concerned. All UK Palestine protest groups should be banned. Palestine action. Pro Palestine. Palestine freedom. These are not peaceful activists, not when they are willing to commit terrorism on British soil. Peaceful protests do not incite violence.

Metropolitan Police chief Sir Mark Rowley has said he is "shocked" at a planned protest in support of Palestine Action in London on Monday. Sir Mark went on to say he was also "shocked" by the sun rising in the east and by Donald Trump tweeting with excessive capitalization.

Home Secretary: "I have decided to proscribe Palestine Action under section 3 of the Terrorism Act 2000. A draft proscription order will be laid in Parliament on Monday 30 June. If passed, it will make it illegal to be a member of, or invite support for, Palestine Action".

I look forward to the usual types pretending they do not understand the difference between peaceful protest and the actions of this group. Palestine Action 'to be banned' as terror group, home secretary says news.sky.com/story/palestinโ€ฆ

Good. If Palestine Action is prescribed by Home Secretary as terror group then those who support it are terrorist supporters and as such, should be detained.

I commend the Home Secretary's statement today on proscribing Palestine Action, which I urged last week. You can read my statement on this below: questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statemโ€ฆ
