We almost tied the record today. 60 degrees at the SL airport today. That makes 4 days so far this month with 60 + degree temps. December 2025 now ranks 2nd for the amount of days reaching 60+ degrees. We had 5 days back in 1939.

Mammoth Mountain is closed due to extreme avalanche danger after the summit picked up 75 inches of snow in just the last two days. The before-and-after from Christmas Eve to today is wild, a massive snow drift has nearly buried the 24-foot summit sign.

Estimates on this next storm coming in two waves. The first push of snow will be tonight. The second wave hits tomorrow afternoon thru early Sunday morning. Valley snow expected Saturday night. (1 inch or less)

Unseasonably warm temperatures with our first 70 degree reading for Salt Lake City this year. This is just a teaser of the heat wave we will be riding next week. Highs next week could get up to 80 degrees.

Here's a look at next week's high temps for Salt Lake City in comparison to the daily records. We break the record on Thursday. That will be the earliest to see an 80 degree reading in SLC. So far the earliest occurrence is March 31st.

We did break the record for the high today in SLC. We hit 80 degrees at 12:01 PM. A little lake breeze has prevented temperatures from rising even more. Still some time to break the all-time warmest temperature for March. So far, we tied it at 80 degrees.

Another day.... another broken record. At Salt Lake City we broke the daily record of 75 degrees as we reach 77 degrees as of 2:15 PM.
