Haven’t posted much lifting lately. Because I can’t. I have a distal bicep rupture. Fancy for I tore the tendon from my bicep to the forearm off the bone. How? Getting into a dunk tank for charity.

What happened to Charlie Kirk is a tragedy. But, it’s not the only tragedy. We can agree multiple things are bad without taking attention away from them. If you spend all your time arguing over what’s worse, you’ll never tackle any problem.

Also, there seems to be confusion on what free speech means. Free speech means the government cannot charge you or jail you for your words. It doesn’t mean a private company can’t sanction you for speech that doesn’t fit their values. And yes, “fighting words” are not free speech

I got my house tonight in World of Warcraft. Can’t do anything with it because of keybinds. I really wish they would have just fixed garrisons. This is a much less fun/engaging system even a decade plus later.

Hot take: garrisons were better.

My favorite part of a new World of Warcraft xpac is all my friends coming back from breaks. Now, they’re logging in, seeing the add on changes, and logging right back out. I think they miss playing but are not wanting to put in effort to change 10+ years of habit. Hopefully gets better.

I will say the changes in World of Warcraft aren’t that bad if you’re playing one character. But it definitely feels incredibly punishing to play any sort of alt. I thought we went through this like three xpacs ago where the new plan was to make alts easier?

Garrisons were a much better, more unique take on player housing. It helped you with the other tasks in the game instead of just being a collection of aesthetics that serve no real purpose. A better option would have been updating garrisons to accommodate those who wanted more.

The irony of the “we only need one halftime show, but we need two national anthems” people and the “we need two halftime shows, but we only need one national anthem” people being in those camps of conflicting ideas is probably the most interesting part of the Super Bowl for me.

The amount of people who need a token to buy a 50 gold upgrade is astounding, I guess.
