A summer league in big city w/ 200+ college players. 8 wks. 100’s of random fans/parents interacting nightly. 25% are 60 yrs & up. Many no masks. Players home w/ family each night, work day. Only 5 positive all summer. No serious. No secondary infections reported w/ parents/Fans.

Honest question for those that oppose having HS and college sports: What is the statistic that we much reach for it to be acceptable to play? Plenty of good intentions in thinking of personnel safety but without a standard everything can be cancelled indefinitely.

And on the contrary: How much increase in depression, anxiety, and educational resource gap by our kids must occur to overtake the risks of the virus?

What will result in more negative impacts on kids? An increase in cases (by returning) or the furthering mental health decline and resource disparity (by cancelling) Then if things are cancelled, can we assume that spreading won’t continue as they move to unregulated activities?

Coach dropping some common sense knowledge like he always does & has.. Listen to the entire message & if you’ve ever been in the college football day to day environment, then you’ll know what he’s saying is exactly The TRUTH!!
