In 2017, the USA welcomed 4292 published research scientists on net; China welcomed 116; & non-US OECD nations lost 2927. By 2021, the USA saw 4 scientists leave (again, on net); the non-US OECD welcomed 1792; and China welcomed 2408. This is a self-inflicted disaster.

1) The fact that there are routinely people suffering from psychosis and/or homelessness screaming on mass transit represents a failure of public policy, the principal (tho not sole) victims of which are the people suffering from psychosis and homelessness.

Excited to announce I’ll be a part of next year’s KnightHennessy cohort while I study at Stanford Law School :) I plan to continue my PhD research with University of Michigan and J. Alex Halderman while I’m there, and to use both skill sets to pursue common-good tech policy! knight-hennessy.stanford.edu/people/braden-…

I said before traveling to the pillow-symposium, that the claimed PCAP files cannot exist. In symposium no PCAP files were given to us experts. Now media is reporting text messages filed as evidence in a lawsuit which indicate that Lindell knew that he had no PCAP files.

Project Lyra explores the possibility of sending a spacecraft to chase 'Oumuamua using an Earth gravity assist to reach Jupiter, which robs the craft of almost all its speed, causing it to drop to the Sun for an Oberth maneuver. Thanks Adam Hibberd for the trajectory data!

sincere posting mode: every member of the jury just non-trivially increased their odds of being on the wrong end of political violence, all of them that weren't total morons know it, and they did this anyway. genuine moment of unironic courage.

This appears to be untrue. The provision requires election officials to count the *number* of ballots and ensure it matches the number of ballots the machine scanned. Election officials do not need to count voters’ actual choices by hand.
