The Royal College of Physicians owes a huge debt of gratitude to the original brave Fellows who stuck their necks out and brought the EGM into fruition and then repeatedly held the College to task over the past 6 months I have yet to see them even acknowledged #EGM #AGM #RCP 1/3

Any hopes I had of Royal College of Physicians listening and learning from The King's Fund review have been dashed by their PA scope document…which doesn’t…at all…set any scope limitations for PAs. Royal College of Physicians have no intention of listening to and representing its members

The GMC were emailing members of the House of Lords and trying to identify those that would support the decision for the GMC to regulate associates. Including using recently de-mited members of their own council.

In addition the briefing they prepared for these lords includes only information on the highly flawed and highly criticised consultation that was quietly put together in 2019.

And whilst no doubt many people have positive experiences of working with associates, their own briefing failed to identify the significant misgivings and concerns of the medical profession. Whilst also misrepresenting doctors pay.

GMC They are not being compelled, they actively campaigned for this.
