There are lots of lesson ideas popping up for teaching about the invasion of Congress yesterday. Facing History and Follow Learning For Justice (formerly TT) have strong guidance. Above all, creating space for processing feels imperative. It can be as simple as a See-Think-Wonder.

This weekend amateur hockey players from all over will descend on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis for the final games and championship of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships. Minnesota has a long, proud history of amateur hockey, including the team pictured here from about 1925.

This aerial view shows an ice fishing contest held on White Bear Lake as part of the 1950 St. Paul Winter Carnival. The 2022 carnival starts today, but the ice fishing tournament is now virtual and open to anglers across the state, rather than descending on a single lake.
