Truly God's plan... The guy that would not have played a game all tournament if the opening partnership was decent enough, has carried India through 2 must win Super-8 games, the semis and now on the big night, Sanju Vishwanath Samson is standing up and making it big.

Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to

Hate him, troll him but you can't change the fact that he stood up in finals and ended 12 year trophy drought of India. Kohli left the format peacefully but still living rent free in the head of some people.

India. Home. World Champions. 🇮🇳🏆 Couldn’t have imagined this any better even if I tried. From dreaming about playing for India in this city to creating history here, it’s been a blessed ride. Grateful for this team, the support, the fans, and this moment.

When Kohli retires, thats when people will know the impact he had on games. People think scoring like this is easier than striking at high rates. This is touching heights that we might never ever see again. And if you love cricket, regardless of team you support, just enjoy.

An innings that still doesn't get the respect (if not hype) it actually deserves. Without this (and the partnership itself), there would have been no World Cup. To come in when Sachin was out at Mumbai in a World Cup final. There is no higher stakes than that in any cricket.

The way this guy gets called out as a "bad captain" just because people think test cricket doesn't require "captaincy" is just laughable. If test captaincy was that easy, why does this man have the 4th highest number of matches won in the history of a 150 year old sport?
