I just went through and answered the #RevPit "short answer" questions in preparation for my submission in a few weeks. My responses are... not short? Can I get an editor for them? #kiddingnotkidding

Okay, people who entered the #KidsChoiceKidLitContest. I may be outing myself in a negative way here, but... anyone know if we get updates along the way for making it to the next round? KIDS are reading (or at least read) my work and I'm pins-and-needling!

In LA I had a sound designer roommate. Once we watched a movie with her that my now-wife and I both hated. Boring characters, stupid story, embarrassing dialogue. When it ended, the roommate turned to us and gushed about the use of sound and music in it. POV is an amazing thing.

Horn-tooting time. My story "Unsupported" is the final piece in this wonderful anthology. Jessica at JayHenge has been fantastic to work with, and I hope you'll all consider supporting them (I did not intend that play on words) by purchasing the book! tinyurl.com/yw7fwbxr

I haven’t been around here much, but I wanted to pop on to promote the release of my friend’s wonderful second-world fantasy with not-quite-mermaids, racial and colonial tensions, identity questions, and ancient gods. Alteration is good. Buy it. a.co/d/fgQmMrr #Amazon

One of my favorite quotes ever is from Shawshank Redemption. I'm not sure what it says about me that I find it applicable so often: "Get busying living, or get busy dying." I haven't been doing near enough of the former lately. I'm working on it.

Is it weird that I sometimes go back and read something I wrote a few years ago and think, "I like myself"? It's weird, right? #WritingCommunity #writers #conceited

The gap between MG and YA books isn't a new problem... so I'm proposing a not-new solution: More book series that grow with their readers. What do I mean by that? tinyurl.com/49xb5dkw #MiddleGradeBooks #RaisingReaders

I’m honored to be featured in the April issue of The Lone Star Literary Life Magazine. This month’s theme is GROW, so I wrote about the growing and changing reader tastes I’ve seen in my son and how we need to pay attention to that on a bigger scale as writers.
